Sleep to Slavery

I just feel my head spinning around on my shoulders from all the nonsense I keep hearing from our wonderful elected officials, or am I just experiencing vertigo in my brain as it continues to try to sort through and filter all the Bull Stein that flows into my ears from the TV and radio airwaves? I remember when the children’s channel Nickelodeon began on cable way back when. I think it was during the 80’s, but anyway, there was a skit they had on one particular show called “Opposite Day” or something similar where in the skit everything they did was opposite from reality or rules of nature such as the family cat taking the children to school, or the Popsicle would be licking the kid etc, etc. well it feels like to me that every time I listen to a politician speak, he or she is saying something that defies logic or common sense. Am I the only one here picking up on this? Example: Job’s Created or Saved. How can you get a fixed number on something speculated or unknown? Example: Healthcare reform. “It will not cost the tax payer one additional dime!” No Sir, it won’t! It will cost a Hell of a lot more than on additional dime! I wonder, are we really listening to these fools, or are we the fools marching in lockstep to the spoken orders of the great Savior? Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain Folks! Remember this one? “We will broadcast the health care deliberations live on C-SPAN’. We could go all the way to the extreme of my point to such foolishness of Al Gore’s billion dollar business of Global Warming that so many millions of people are stupid enough to believe. Has our country reached the level of a Godless society such as Sodom and Gomorrah that we cannot even recognize the simple truths of common sense and reality anymore?  Are we so ignorant in our Government’s assessment of us as educated Citizen’s that they feel we can be so easily duped by lies, scams and political rhetoric? We must be because we sit on our fat laurel’s and allow them to continue to force feed us with lies at our own expense then re-elect and send them straight back to Washington with the power to rob us. I believe it is taking too long for American’s to wake up out of their Rip Van Winkle sleep to the fact that there are being stripped of all their rights one at a time while Obama works on his plan to enslave them. Don’t think so? You will be seeing the formation of his Citizen Security Forces soon. Hey, every Hitler needs an SS internal police squad to keep everyone in check. A.C.O.R.N. will be a great starting place and they are quite gifted with terrorizing their target enemies door to door. But don’t worry you can relax a while longer enjoying your big flat screen TV. I am sure he won’t rush into it as quick as he did with dismantling our Health Care system!

    Palin will save us?

That is a great joke. If Dr. Ron Paul is not on ballot in 2012 this Patriot will be voting for Gary Johnson. A True Conservative and not a Neocon.

It's truly horrific that you're allowed to be put in a position of authority over anyone. Don't they require psychological evaluations anymore?

    Amazing.

    Edwards,
You are aware that the picture of Obama not saluting the flag at "Ft. Hood" is a hoax, right? The picture is from a May 25, 2009 Memorial Day ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. More importantly, the song being played is "Hail to the Chief," not the National Anthem.

Here's the C-Span footage of the entire event.
    http://urbanlegends.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http://www.c-spanarchives.org/program/286572-1
The picture in question was taken at around 11:35 of the video. The president is also shown around minute one doing what? Placing his hand over his heart while the National Anthem is being played.

This myth has been widely debunked, but hey, you don't need facts. Just believe whatever the conservative ideologues tell you and do your best not to question anything that seems to support your ideology. That's what the founding fathers would want.

  8. Where and when the picture was taken is irrelevant to my point that he is America's first un-American president. Maybe, I could post a photograph that was taken during the writing of his own biographies when he states he would side with the Muslims or any event overseas where he has taken an opportunity to put America down. The man is a proven liar. He is a chameleon that will change colors on any topic convenient to him politically. I could go on and on making points with an anonymous person such as yourself but I won't. You are an Obama supporter for one or more reasons that trump all others. Either you are homosexual, voted for him based on the color of his skin, pro-choice, Anti-Christian / Atheist / Muslim, or simply anti-capitalist. Why don't you argue the facts that make him a proud American?

I think the point is that if you espouse truth you should take the photo down...

  10. When the President begins acting proud and respectful of the United States and speaking well of it abroad I will remove the photo. Until then, it stays. Besides, if you yourself espouse the truth, you wouldn't be an Obama supporter. God you freaks kill me with your hypocrisy!

Wow, that's funny. You hate people who "wouldn't know truth if it bit them in the ass" and yet you refuse to do the most simple research on a hoax before you post it on your website. That makes me wonder, just how exactly do you always know "the truth"? It seems like you just declare your beliefs to be "the truth" and all others to be malicious lies. Remarkable.

Want more examples of your own hypocrisy? You got it. You say that you hate people who "scream racism at others when life doesn't go there (sic) way", yet you explain that someone who commented on your blog voted for Obama "based on the color of his skin". Sounds a lot like you are crying racism when life doesn't go your way.

    Hypocrite.

Wow, for someone purporting to be a Christian, you sure do talk a lot more about hate than love. When did "they will know that we are Christians by our love" become "they will know that we are Christians by our profuse hatred and hypocritical denunciation?" Only God may judge. It's terribly sad to see people like you who "cast the first stone" and scare people away from a loving relationship with God.

"Judge not, lest ye be judged."

  13. Hi Janice, I am sorry I scared you away from Christianity, maybe the Muslim faith would be a better fit for your sensitivities. No, maybe not. They have a nasty habit of stoning outspoken and critical thinking women. Maybe atheism would be a good choice for you? Then you can inagine there's no heaven and no hell below us and condemn all Christians for claiming to believe in the faith. After all, God had hatred for certain people that objected his plan. That surely isn't fair either. I have a suggestion for you. Why don't you respond back and tell us all the secret to successful practice of religion in your way since you have all the answers and we will follow. And worship you! That way you won't be burdened with others shortcomings of their faith when it doesn't please you. Instead, you can enlighten us all on how to love one another in your perfect way. The world needs your influence of love oh Goddes Janice! Shall we start by building a Temple for you?

  14. Anonymous coward,
Which is it? Which group do you belong to? Either your Homosexual, you voted for Obama based soley on the color of his skin, you are Atheist, Muslim, or basically non-Christian, pro-choice, anti-capitalist. For only one or more of these reasons you support Obama. Come on, be honest! Yes, you can! This post has must have really been dead on because it really got your panties in a wad. The truth hurts. Enjoy!

    Edwards,

I don't think you understand what I am saying here. First and foremost, you should know that I am a proud, lifelong Christian. I miss church perhaps 3 or 4 times a year and I have read my Bible at night every day since I was in college. One of my favorite verses is from Leviticus: "Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord."

I do not know to which shortcomings of my faith you refer, but I do not personally feel there are any. My Christian faith has been a guiding light throughout my life, and my only wish is that others may see and experience God's love. If you truly wish for enlightenment to love one another as you requested, you should refer not to me, or politicians, or pundits, but to the word of God itself. Until then I would ask that you let your love be a beacon for those who don't yet believe, rather than your hatred as an obstruction to God's word.

  16. Janice, you amuse me! i will try not to be mean spirited with you anymore because I really do not think you are comprehending the message of my blog, nor my "About Me" statement at the top of the page. I do not feel you understand my position on faith as well. I am a christian. I believe in Jesus. I am however not a good Christian and fail miserably at it on a daily basis. I believe as you accuse me of that Christians do more harm to Christianity than all others who oppose it. I am a skeptic in every way with those who claim to be perfect oerr near perfect. I understand that satan himself is quite versed in the Holy scriptures and anyone can utter them for good or for selfish reasons. I also take comfort in certain passages of scripture, especially the one that quotes "All fall short of the glory of God." That gives me comfort knowing that our best will never be good enough alone. I have also learned in my short years that everyone has a weakness for a particular sin or two. People are gifted at hiding their weakness when they choose too and cloak themselves with an outer appearence of being Holy. Ahh, but God knows the heart. If you care to see in my own words how I believe you can look back at several blogs from last year. I do have strong and outspoken biblical beliefs that I will never comprimise on. I do feel that your vote holds you responsible to God's word. I do not hate individuals but rather quickly admit I hate "political groups and ideology that are not in line with God's word or that are not constitutional. I also know thatin these areas I greatly offend those who do comprimise their own so called faith in political matters. I will however take your advise on seeking love for all others based on God's word, but I request that you put God's word in action when you visit the voting booth and not comprimising the faith you claim when it comes to political candidates who support legislation that is not in line with the teachings of God's word.
