If God Forgave My Sins, Why Am I Still In Hell?

The bible tells us that God will forgive our sins if we confess them. If we do not confess and repent of our sins we go to hell. It is simple enough and just. I have no problems understanding this. I do however wonder if hell is more than a fiery destination for those who stubbornly or foolishly do not have remorse for their transgressions for others. Could it be possible that we live in a Hell just as real as the one we go to after life; only we experience it here inside our hearts while we are still in our physical earthly bodies? Yes, I think so. God forgives, this is fact I believe, but sometimes our sins cause irreversible pain that is not forgiven. Life is altered to a degree that will never be made whole and right again for those who are guilty and for those who are victims in some incidents. What happens when you are never released for your transgressions by those you trespassed against? I’ve heard that sin separates you from God and the relationship is broken until restored. What if a sin against another person cannot be restored? Doesn’t separation bring loneliness and loneliness brings pain? Isn’t pain Hell? It really makes me wonder how many degrees of Hell must be suffered for all those I have made unable to forgive.  Does it create a state of perpetual unhappiness? Hell. Will this be the only Hell for those God forgives?

America Dividing into Good versus Evil

I remember when I was young during the Vietnam era and beyond we were constantly warned of the evil of communism, Anti-Christian beliefs and the overall bad in the world and the dangers of allowing it to grow. I remember watching a film at church that depicted what it would be like in America if communism took over. How the government would treat the people as if they were slaves, torture and control them. How this would usher in the coming of the Anti-Christ and the mark of the beast. It scared me to death being an eight to ten year old boy trying to wrap this image around my brain. I remember hearing uncles and neighbors, the older men of the day who actually fought in World War II rebuke the Hippies and Anti-war crowd calling them all manners of names filled with disrespect and contempt. Of course, I thought at that time a Hippie was someone who wore long hair and didn’t bathe much so I kept that as a mental image. Those older men I admired would tell stories of these Hippies being draft dodgers and cowards or simply communist. I had no idea what these words really meant other than I thought they didn’t love America and would rather protest the war than to fight in it. I also remember myself fantasizing about being a soldier fighting in Vietnam along side the Army and Marines. In my little heart then I felt I had the courage to fight for my country. I remember trying to understand some of these concepts that preachers would warn about how the world was becoming evil and that one day the bible would be illegal to read or own. They would always say that Christians would have to go underground to worship God in America one day. In my little simple mind I would always think of how we would have to dig tunnels underground to have church and worship. I didn’t understand the wording used but I understood well what they were saying meant that if you believed in God you would be in danger and would have to hide to worship. Now that I am 43 years old, I often find myself thinking that America and its people have lost sight of God and his principles and the love of country that I once knew. Do I pretend to be perfect? By no means am I saying that, I can be a champion sinner at times. But even when I sin I know what I am doing is wrong. I possess the ability to know wrong from right. Over the course of my life so far I have watched this countries government turn from a very patriotic body of leaders into government that detests personal liberties and the history of greatness this country has been to the world. I remember distinctly when I was younger and President Ronald Reagan would be on the television everyone stopped what they were doing to listing to his words. He was the President and he was respected. Now, when I see our current president on the television I either listen to hear what the latest trick our government is pulling on the American people or I switch channels to watch something more productive such as a ball game. Now our president travels the world wide to apologize and put down our great country. What a tremendous disgrace and appalling difference between the two. I also pay attention to the constant attacks on Christianity as this nation seems to be in a nightmare love affair with any and every religion that opposes Christianity, especially that of Islam. We are at war we this fanatical murderous cult and yet our own government will not recognize them as evil and downplays their atrocious murderous ways. I also see where our courts are under legal attack with continuous assaults on the freedoms of Americans to worship as Christians and the bible being removed further and further from public view. What is alarming is how many people in this country now hate this country that is a gift from God to all of us who were blessed enough to be born here. I also see how many people who claim Christianity and vote for those in government who try to remove Christianity away from us. How can this be possible? The people who shout blessed is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then turn around and vote for a candidate of the party that is trying to kill Christianity and have it removed from our lives. I see the warnings of my youth coming to pass everyday. What they were trying to warn us about is happening and most of us deny this.  No, our country has not been taking over by another country like I envisioned it with soldiers parachuting from the sky, but as political enemies of America being voted into office by Americans themselves. The evil and Anti-American crowd simply walked inside upon the invitation of the American people without force. What I see is that what we were warned about as kids is already taking place. I see a great divide taking place in this country that does not run along party lines. I see the great division taking place and forming two groups of Americans. I see these two groups of people as the Good versus the Evil and I wonder sometimes if all the people even realize this is happening. As for me, I will be on the side of good until the end.

Sometimes I Just Sit and Wonder

I think about my life and what it means or think about what it is supposed to mean. Is it a test? Am I just an experiment to see what I will do in any given situation? Am I just like a mouse that has been placed in a box filled with a maze of pathways to choose with nothing but my own brain and its storage of experiences to guide me through the next opening in the maze, only to hope I choose the right path? I am but one person, one body in the world of so many people at a specific period of time. I am Just one in billions who each have their own paths to travel. I have responsibilities to others, my family, my children, my bosses, my employees. All of whom depend upon me. Every conversation that comes from my mouth effects all those who are around me. My chosen words and actions cause the reactions I get from each and every person I come across in this life. Experience as mentioned before causes me to be careful to choose my words with those around me. Why? Is it for just my own selfish desires or conveniences which words I choose to speak to those around me? Do I consider some better than others and speak kinder to them while being less careful with those I feel May not benefit me as much? Or do I have deeper and more pure motives that cause me to treat others as I myself would want to be treated in order to be a benefit to those whom paths I cross? I always take measure of my life and its purpose and yet I always seem to be unsatisfied with the results of what I see. Is it again selfishness that I am not where I feel I could have been at this point in time, or do I feel pride that I am in better circumstances than others I see around me? Could it be that it may not be pride I feel but gratefulness that I have more than others may have? Or is it as it seems most of the time that I feel I do not have as much in my possession as others do around me? I think sometimes of all the people I have hurt in one way or another, some out of meanness and some out ignorance. Maybe a few I have hurt have been out of jealousy? Why do all these people cross my path and some stay but so many seem to go away? Are these same people merely traveling their own path in search of what meaning life has to them? Could it be that I am one of those people who simply do not offer as much benefit to their own lives and they move onward to other places and people? Sometimes I wonder what affect my life will have had in other people’s lives long after I reach the end of this maze. Will I be remembered by those who remain? Will I have left an impression on them that they may have benefited from or will my passing be of no consequence to their lives at all? I wonder if my life will have touched enough people in a positive giving way that will leave those behind with something to pass on for others to benefit. Has God given me life in order to offer a chance for me to do good for others? Or has God given me life as an experiment of failure to which opportunities were given but I failed to see them and let the selfish desires cloud my way, or the heartaches and troubles cause me to lose heart? When I think deeply like this it always seems to make me feel yet again unworthy or incapable due to the many wrong decisions or failures whether through ignorance or fault. At last, I see that I am imperfect and in need of God’s help when things are going good and especially when I am simply just being me and make a total mess of things. Thank God that He is merciful. Even for those like me.

Allah in, Jesus Out!

Well now, we asked for change and that’s exactly what we got.
Only the changes have done nothing to help the common working American. It isn’t enough that our government goes into the auto making and banking business, stealing the hard earned American money and spreading it across the land to the non-contributing factions to be blown up their noses, send our children to two wars against the threat of terrorism while Obama turns the key Guantanamo Bay releasing war combatants to our courts reserved for our citizens and giving them constitutional rights to boot.

No, those changes did nothing for me Mr. President.

I am too exhausted from work to list all of the atrocities committed by this foreign government in the white house as I don’t  have legions of empty headed zombies called ACORN to do my dirty work for me. So I’ll blow most of my steam on the latest.

Who are you Obama?

What are you Obama?

Are you a Muslim?

Are you a Christian? Loll.

Sorry, I had to laugh at that last question. It seems that you honor the Muslim holiday yet you and your family do not personally celebrate Christmas. Is that true Obama? The reports say that you don’t even give Christmas gifts to your children. Is that true Obama?

Why is it that you, your administration and your fellow Democratic sheep hate Jesus so much?

What did he do that was so offensive to you?

Was it that he was born of a virgin, lived a blameless and sinless life and was tortured and unjustly murdered so that you may have eternal life?
Or, is it as you say, just a story of a child?

"Tonight, we celebrate a story that is as beautiful as it is simple.  The story of a child born far from home to parents guided only by faith, but who would ultimately spread a message that has endured for more than 2,000 years – that no matter who we are or where we are from, we are each called to love one another as brother and sister.  While this story may be a Christian one, its lesson is universal.  It speaks to the hope we share as a people.  And it represents a tradition that we celebrate as a country – a tradition that has come to represent more than any one holiday or religion, but a season of brotherhood and generosity to our fellow citizens.” Obama.

Who told you this version? Nancy Pelosi while you sat in Harry Reid's lap near the fireplace?

Why is Allah in and Jesus is out?

Why do you and the majority of your parties minions claim to be of the Protestant faith and yet do your best to legislate any semblance of Christianity from our country?  You forbid God in our schools, court houses, other government buildings and stadiums yet slobber all over yourselves with glee at the mention of any anti-Christ religion or movement.

Now it is the Christmas season, our country’s most favorite time of the year to celebrate the birth of OUR SAVIOR and LORD and you choose to set the example to trivialize the celebration of His birth. Your hypocrite party members unite nation wide to curtail any public celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth by forbidding his followers to display religious symbols in his honor. Nativity Scenes are outlawed and banned but I am most assured that the abortion factories across the states are open and very busy churning out the cold blooded murder that occurs daily between the walls there. Yes, I am quite sure you see no harm in that. But God, forbid, or in your case, Allah forbid that any child in school sings Holy Night. No, that just might offend someone who is Muslim, or Atheist. So in with Allah and out with Jesus so that the most very few out of all the majority of Americans won’t have their precious little feelings hurt.

God Love them.

Well let me tell you something Mr. President.

THIS IS A CHRISTIAN NATION and unlike you and your spineless followers, we will continue to celebrate Christmas with or without your nod of approval because you are not God like your voters believe you are.

We are American’s and most of us are Christians. We are the kind of Christians that do not conveniently put aside our beliefs to push legislation and agenda’s that oppose the true word of God. And we will be at the polls very soon to show you what real CHANGE is all about.

Oh, and by the way,

Merry Christmas!

What if American’s Voted With Their Spiritual Conscience?

In my last post I tried to explain what history has taught us about leaders of nations who twist their religion or belief system to fit their own political agenda or personal power trip in order to enslave the people under the guise of religious belief. I also outlined the dangers therein of the need of separation of church and state, and how the new America cast off the shackles of state sponsored or mandated religion, and sought to allow the individual to worship God as their conscience or spirit self led them without threat of persecution from their government.

Over the last several decades we have had the notion that politics and religion must be kept separate beat against our brow so much that we missed the point and deliberate meaning of the phrase, when in fact nothing could be further from the truth. The meaning of the phrase only meant that the government could not require its citizen’s to believe and worship in a religion that the government chose for the citizen’s to follow and require them to practice it under threat.

If you have ever visited Washington, D.C., our nation’s capital, you would be hard pressed not to see so many references to the God of Christianity, scriptures from the Bible, and quotations of bold faith from founding fathers in which have been written in historical documents, carved beautifully in stone of Statues and the walls of magnificent buildings of historical purpose. It is absolutely everywhere enshrined in the fabulous and timeless architecture of our past.

The ludicrous notion that our country was not founded on the bedrock of Christian principles just will not hold water. There is no doubt of it even if you ignored the tremendous amount of recorded memoirs and journals of those who established this nation.

The thought has caused me to wonder what would happen if American’s voted according to their personal religious beliefs? Would their votes on the issue’s stand contrary to what their own personal faith would require? Would their votes on the issues be in line with the scriptures of their belief? Would American’s even cast a vote to elect a politician that does not believe the way they do?

Why?

I always hear people who are suppose to be Christians try to make the flimsy excuse of separation of church and state when they try to defend being in favor as such issues as abortion, homosexuality, etc. etc. etc. It seems to me that a person’s moral and spiritual guidance would lead him to oppose supporting such legislative proposals when it comes in conflict with their own personal belief system.

It also seems to me that people pick and choose what they will support and quickly brush aside or compromise their very own beliefs in order to progress a candidate or issue.

What would this country be like today if people backed up their belief in God, the teachings of the Bible, the teachings of Christ?

Would our children be able to learn about creation in their class rooms? Would they be able to pray to the one and only real God? If God had not been kicked out of schools would there be as much violence and death in them today?  Would our prisons be as overcrowded? Would our streets be any safer? Would families be any stronger?

Should people continue to keep God out of our decisions while choosing which side of a moral issue we are on and which candidate we should support?
